Anthony’s Italian Coffee & Chocolate House is truly one of the best spots in Philadelphia. The moment you walk in, you can feel how much history, care, and pride goes into everything they do. It has such a warm, authentic atmosphere and feels like a genuine neighborhood institution rather than just another coffee shop. The coffee is consistently excellent, and there are so many delicious treats to choose from. Their chocolates, pastries, biscotti, and other Italian specialties are always fresh and beautifully presented. It is nearly impossible to leave without picking up something extra for later. They also have an amazing selection of gifts, which makes Anthony’s one of my favorite places to visit when I need something thoughtful and unique for someone. What really makes Anthony’s special, though, is the people. The staff is always welcoming, knowledgeable, and happy to help. You can tell that they genuinely care about their customers and take pride in creating a great experience. Whether you are stopping in for a quick coffee, meeting someone, or browsing their chocolates and Italian products, you always feel taken care of. Anthony's is a true gem in Philadelphia's Italian Market. From the moment you walk in, you're welcomed by the fresh coffee, delicious pastries, and a warm, inviting atmosphere. It has the charm of a traditional Italian café while still feeling comfortable and relaxed. The coffee is consistently excellent, whether you're enjoying an espresso, cappuccino, or latte. Everything is made with care, and you can really taste the quality. Their selection of Italian pastries, especially the cannoli and sfogliatelle, is fantastic and pairs perfectly with any drink. They also offer tasty paninis! What really makes Anthony's stand out is the friendly staff and authentic neighborhood feel. Everyone is welcoming, and the service is always quick without feeling rushed. Sitting outside with a coffee while taking in the energy of the Italian Market is a great way to spend part of your day. Anthony’s Italian Coffee & Chocolate House is a great little spot right in the heart of the Italian Market in South Philly. The atmosphere has a warm, authentic vibe that makes it a fun place to stop and relax. My kids especially love coming here for the gelato, and it’s become one of our favorite family treats when we’re in the area. Whether you’re grabbing a coffee, dessert, or just soaking in the neighborhood energy, Anthony’s is definitely worth a visit.

2026 May. Had lunch and coffee here. Situated right in the heart of the Italian Market area of Philadelphia, the atmosphere is fun and lively with the market all around you. Small easy to navigate menu and affordable prices. Lady was very friendly who served us. Great Italian place. Great chocolates too!
